How to read your scan result

Your scan gives a traffic-light verdict for EU AI Act Article 50 transparency signals on your website. GREEN: the disclosure signals we check for were found - the report explains each one, because a pass you cannot verify is worthless. AMBER: we found something that needs action or could not confirm compliance - read the findings in order. RED: critical transparency signals are missing. INDETERMINATE: we could not verify (for example, a cookie consent wall blocked our scanner, or we could not confirm whether an AI or a human operates your chat) - the verdict explains exactly why and what to do next. Every result also shows a confidence level with a plain explanation of what limited the scan. The scan is informational and is not legal advice.

How to read your 3‑document expediente

Your expediente contains three documents that share one reference number (like ACT-2026-XXXX). Read them in order.

1) Assessment Report: what we verified on your site, the evidence for every finding (also the passes), and the overall verdict. Findings follow the professional audit structure: the rule that applies, what we observed, why it happened, what is at stake, and the corrective action.

2) Action Plan: your to-do list - steps for YOUR detected chat provider, the exact notice templates already translated into your site languages covered by the kit, estimated effort in minutes, and a free re-scan to verify your fix.

3) Toolkit: the 9 notice templates in EN, ES, DE, FR and IT, the setup guide for your provider, and a signable checklist for your records.

Keep the expediente number: it links your documents, your payment and our logs.

What INDETERMINATE means and what to do

INDETERMINATE is an honest verdict, not a failure. It means our scanner could not verify a criterion automatically.

The two common causes:

(1) a consent wall (Cookiebot, Axeptio, OneTrust...) blocks widgets until visitors accept - so we cannot see your chat;

(2) we detected a chat widget but could not confirm whether an AI or a human operates it - Article 50(1) only applies to AI systems.

What to do: if you use any bot or AI features in your chat, apply the disclosure steps in your Action Plan; if your chat is 100 percent human-operated, the Article 50(1) notice duty does not apply to it - the Assessment documents this so your records show you checked. You can re‑scan free at actscan.app any time.

How to apply the fix for your chatbot provider

Open your Action Plan: it contains the steps for the chat provider we detected on your site, checked against that provider's official documentation.

The universal approach works on every platform: set the disclosure notice (Template 1 in your Toolkit) as the first message visitors see, and name your bot so it is clearly an AI (for example "AI Assistant").

If we could not identify your provider or you built your own chat, use the universal steps - paste the template as the first message in your widget settings or ask your developer to add it.

Guides for the major platforms are also published at actscan.app/help.

After applying the change, verify it with a free re‑scan.

Validate your fix with a re‑scan

After you apply the fix, re‑scan your site free at actscan.app - same as your first scan, no signup. The scanner loads your site like a real browser and checks that the disclosure is visible at first interaction.

If the verdict improves to GREEN for the disclosure criterion, your fix is live and your expediente plus the dated re‑scan are your evidence trail.

If it stays AMBER or INDETERMINATE, the result explains what is still missing - and you can always reply to your delivery email for human support at support@actscan.app.

Billing, VAT and invoices

The Remediation Kit costs EUR 149, one-time, paid through Stripe (we never see your card details). During checkout you provide your business VAT ID and billing address; Stripe issues your invoice automatically.

A valid business VAT ID is required at checkout; for EU B2B sales we apply the reverse-charge mechanism, so you account for VAT in your own country.

The kit is delivered by email with your three PDF documents. If your expediente does not arrive within a few hours, reply to any of our emails or write to support@actscan.app.
